We have done considerable research. Also, we have our own personal pet experiences and those of others in our lives. Lets face it, no matter what we do, pets can and do run away, leading to grief, worry and great sadness to the entire family...especially the children. We believe we offer a very rapid and cost-effective solution, especially with the lack of free time that most of us experience in todays hectic world. We want to help you get your best bud back and end the unhappiness as soon as possible. Next to trying to make a living, thats the main reason we do what we do.

There are several products available to attempt to keep your pet from straying; however, none are 100% effective. Again, we are an after the fact service, to help find your pet after it is lost, and not a product to help keep your pet from straying.

For example, dogs can and do break through an electric fence, and from personal (and others’) experiences, they can be afraid to come back over the fence and getting shocked again. Collar batteries require regular replacement (which one might forget to do), the battery can run down and the fence itself can be taken out by an electrical storm or (again, from personal experience) an electric service problem without your knowledge.

Chip implants are available which contain pertinent info about your pet, especially owner contact info. HOWEVER, the pet has to be found first and then brought to a Vet, shelter, etc. with the capability to scan/read the chip. Also, there are several models of chips out there, many that need their own unique reader, often requiring a Vet, shelter, etc. to purchase several readers, which may be cost-prohibitive.

Collars and/or collar info tags can fall off, or neglected to be put on. |

According to the ASPCA “ Swift action, coupled with major neighborhood networking, will increase the odds of having your furry friend back in your arms! The key is to get the information out to as many people and places as you can….” (Check the ASPCA’s site for tips on finding your lost pet.)

| |
| As well, most collections of “Lost Pet Tips” put notification of your neighbors as the first thing to do. |
| |
| Typically, to try to accomplish this, people put up signs or posters in the neighborhood. Problems are, however: |
| |
Contrary to years ago, in many/most neighborhoods people now drive everywhere, and don’t walk as much (except for exercise or to walk ones pet).
| |
| |
Who reads these, especially the ones on telephone polls (in neighborhoods that still have telephone poles)? People don’t take strolls around the neighborhood as much anymore; you drive by these posters and get a quick glimpse, assuming you look at it in the first place. Neighborhoods don’t exist like they once did. As a result, people don’t read these signs…
| |
Many people do not have the time to create, print, distribute and put up these posters. As a result, they are not posted in a timely fashion…
| |
The posters/fliers are subject to the elements and may wash out/disappear in a short period of time. Some nice people may take down the flier for their later use in case they see your pet. Other people may remove the fliers for other reasons. Even if a kind soul does care enough to take the effort and try to go back and find the poster, it may be illegible or no longer there when they/you/your pet need it.
| |
If a person does see what they think is your pet, without a picture in hand they may not be sure. Almost certainly, if a person does see your pet, they won’t have your contact information. It is doubtful that they would have read, and then copied the information from the poster, and it is doubtful that they will go out of their way to go look for a poster (which now may no longer be there) to get this information. In other words, with just posters, they won’t have the information when they need it!
| |
Lastly, although little-enforced, the unauthorized posting of fliers, signs, posters, etc. on public or private property is typically illegal.
| |
Time is of the essence in creating and posting the flier which may take several days if done by yourself. It seems the pace of life keeps speeding up and so many of us have so little spare time. Nowadays, who has the time to do this; in fact, who has any spare time? |

We provide a We require the order to be placed before 4:00pm EST and your order will be printed and mailed in one business day. If an order comes in on Friday, it mails on Monday. If an order comes in over the weekend, it mails Tuesday.one business day turnaround to get your Alerts in the mail. In the amount of time it takes you to create, print and put up the posters, or door-knock the neighborhood, we can be notifying households in the area where you lost your pet (for example, you may have lost your pet when you were on vacation with your pet, and not from your home). We all know that time is of the essence in bringing your best friend home. The MISSING PET ALERT© (see samples here) from us is being delivered right into the homes, and will stand out and be noticed. Note that we can also send out your Alert to nearby Veterinarians, shelters, rescue organizations and the like.

Also, posters are impersonal and do not reach the target audience in an effective or efficient manner. |
